Hi there, I'm Oliver
I'm a project manager, a parent, and an expatriate currently based in Austin, United States.
Several years back I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new phase of living overseas.
How It Started
Moving to United States wasn’t in the long-range plan. Like many expat relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The early months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complex than they should.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines formed. We found places that worked for us, met other families, and began building something that felt stable.
Why I Built PavRelSorinDaz
Most information online was either corporate-level relocation advice or surface-level tourism material. What was missing was honest, day-to-day family perspective.
This site exists to close that gap — practical guidance based on real life in United States.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site offers:
- Practical insights gained from living in United States
- Centered on family life and everyday realities
- Updated whenever something meaningful changes
This site ISN'T:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in United States continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I will keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Austin or anywhere in United States, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Cheers,
Oliver
